Maurice Sendak, Where the wild things are

Max: Did you make this?
Carol: Yeah, yeah.
Max: It’s very good.
Carol: We were gonna make a whole world like this. Now, everyone used to come here, but you know… you know what it feels like when all your teeth are falling out really slowly and you don’t realize and then you notice that, well, they’re really far apart. And then one day… you don’t have any teeth anymore.
Max: Yeah.
Carol: Well it was like that.

Morrissey, Late night, Maudlin street

Love at first sight
It may sound trite
But it’s true, you know
I could list the detail
Of everything you ever wore or said
Or how you stood the day
As we spent the last night
On Maudlin Street
“Goodbye house, forever!”
I never stole a happy hour
Around here

Morrissey, Late night, Maudlin street

Something I have learned
If there is one thing in life I’ve observed
It’s that everybody’s got somebody
Ooh no, not me
So I’ve changed my plea to guilty
And reason and freedom is a waste
It’s a lot like life-

Morrissey, I’ve changed my plea to guilty
